Bright white clouds against a deep-blue sky or colourful autumnal colours are no coincidence. Polarizing filters (pola filters) increase the purity of individual colours and enhance the richness of the colours. The second benefit of pola filters is a reduction in reflections on non-metallic surfaces (water, windows, paint). Items behind these surfaces, including writing behind reflective paint, can be recognised again. Pola filters rotate so that the extinguishing effect can be visibly regulated in the viewfinder or on the display. The maximum effect can be achieved at an exposure angle of 90° to the sun. The lengthening factor is between two and three apertures.
