• By connecting a Peltier effect heat pump to a direct voltage source, it acts as a heat pump and can be used for heating and cooling. The heat pump uses the Peltier effect. The hot side must be cooled using a heat exchanger. Common applications: Cooling/heating of laser components, fibre optics, semi-conductors, laboratory instruments, medical equipment, electronic chassis, floppy disks and hard disks, food and drinks, and correct installation is important . Installation is usually mechanical, between a heat exchanger and the cooled object. Thermal grease is applied to both sides of the heat pump.
• Note! Proper cooling of the hot side is important. The maximum temperature at the hot side is 80 °CFor high temperature heat pumps the maximum temperature is 150 °C.
